Kick Start is a blend of smooth Latin American coffees with a dash of exotic organic East African (Ethiopian, Kenyan) beans mixed in to perk things up. Each type of coffee is roasted to the most delicious level for that specific bean and then is mixed together to deliver a classic coffee taste.
Smooth and rich, a balanced coffee with hints of toasted nuts, caramel, cocoa, and berries.

How did Kick Start get its name?
Kick Start is one of the original Sparkplug coffee blends.
Right from the start, I loved this blend, and decided it had to be one of our signature, always available, coffees.
You may think that the name Kick Start refers to how coffee kick starts our brains and gets us going.
But it’s actually a nod to my love for vintage Vespas and cool motorcycles.
Motorcycles? Yup!
Kicking it Old school…
You may not know that to get my sweet vintage Vespa rolling requires a literal “kick start”.
In fact, before fancy schmancy electronic starters, all motorcycles were kick started.
Instead of pressing a button, I use my foot to kick or push down on the starter lever to start the Vespa.
Vrrroom! And we’re off on another adventure!

Our Sizes
Standard (300g) & Large (900g)
The Standard delivers 300 grams or about 30 great mugs of of coffee - it's as much as we can squeeze into a Canada Post lettermail envelope. The Standard typically keeps 1 coffee drinker happy for 2 weeks.
The Large delivers 900 grams of Sparkplug Coffee and makes about 100 mugs of coffee. The Large is designed to keep 2 coffee lovers (or 1 serious coffee fiend) going for 3 to 4 weeks.
