Music for programming + running
Music for Programming & Running (but not at the same time.)
“Otto’s Playlist” by our friendly neighbour Colin is an eclectic mix of world music that’s perfect for any occasion. A computer programmer by week day, and a weekend marathon runner, Colin’s love of international beats is clear! We asked him a few questions about his picks.
What’s on your playlist?
I love lots of different types of music so I’ve tried to highlight a couple of those genres. Unlike many people, I love Live albums and two of my favourites are Hugh Masakela’s “Live at the Market Theatre” and Marvin Gaye’s “Live At the Oakland Coliseum” so I’ve included songs from those albums in particular. Also, in honour of Stephen Sondheim, the very last song on the playlist is one of my favourites of his.
Who is ‘Otto”?
Otto is the name of my local pub night trivia team! ???
How did you first hear about Sparkplug Coffee?
We’re neighbours :) of Kara’s!
What’s the most memorable coffee you’ve ever had?
I was in an Ethiopian coffee ceremony in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia that was pretty special. But the most memorable delicious coffee’s I ever had was at a “diner” in Madrid next to the main train station. I had gone in there after an all-night trip from Algeciras/Gibraltar. I ordered a Café con leche and it was so delicious that I ordered 3 more!
What’s your usual order at a cafe?
Capuccino.
What do you love most about Sparkplug Coffee?
