Coffee Spice Rub Recipe

Wake up your burgers with this delicious coffee spice rub. It is delicious for burgers, chicken, mushrooms, pretty much anything you throw on the grill.

Coffee on the BBQ?! Sure!

The coffee adds a subtle smokiness and depth to this rub.

Don’t worry about the caffeine, there isn’t enough coffee per serving to jack you up, unless you eat the whole packet by yourself (which would be weird).

How to Use the Coffee Spice Rub

My favourite thing is to rub about 1 teaspoon (5 ml) on the outside of a burger before grilling or frying the patty. You can also mix some spice rub in with the ground beef.

  • You can also use this Coffee Spice Rub on steak, chicken, mushrooms (yum! portobello mushroom burgers!) or pork.

  • Try it on corn on the cob - melt some butter, stir in Coffee Spice Rub and brush this mixture all over each cob of corn. For 6 pieces of corn, use about 2 TBSP of butter and 2 TSP of Coffee Spice Rub
